Counting down till June 23rd - this is the longest we have gone without visiting in 5 years. We were doing 2 - 3 trips a year until last May - and then we had a baby.

Little Mia will be joining us for her first trip to the Island - along with both of her Grandmothers!

We are finally under 3 months to go...so i will still have to live vicariously through the BB for a bit.

Found out a few days ago that my aunt, uncle and cousin will be visiting Aruba this year. They invited me along so needless to say I will be there for my second visit in August of this year. Last time I only spent four days, which was so not enough. This time I will be staying for seven days, while I would love to stay there forever I will be reasonable and settle for seven days. My aunt, uncle and cousin will be flying in on Saturday 4th August, and I will be flying in on Sunday the 5th August; my journey to the Happy Island from Trinidad and Tobago will involve a 1hr 30mins flight from Trinidad via Suriname Airways, a 2hr 15mins layover in Curacao before taking the connecting Insel Airways flight over to Aruba. While my relatives will be leaving on the 11th, I will be staying on till the 12th as Thursday and Sunday are the only days to get flights back to Trinidad through Curacao. I could have taken a flight back on August 9th but then i would only get four days and as I said earlier four days is not enough. So my relatives will see that i'm booked for an extra night at the hotel and I'll leave from there on Sunday morning. I'm sure that I will find something to occupy myself during my last few hours there.

Needless to say I'll be counting the days and looking forward to the seven glorious days that I will be spending on the Happy Island. Good thing I have work and classes to fill the time. But all the while dreaming of arriving there in good time for a great time.
