We normally book our March flights late Nov/early Dec. While setting up our fare tracker in Sept, I saw a 1st class fare $200 pp higher than our normal economy price. Booked it immediately. Day later prices was up $500 pp and it is now $1,000 higher.

Had an extremely busy spring/summer and have not been around much. We're definitely not retired folks that have nothing to do. Although I've set-up our ticker, I'm not one to wish my life away. Just very happy we'll be flying in comfort and won't need to pack a lunch.

That's exactly the way I look at it! Even though we leave 2 weeks from today, I have a million and one things going on between now and our departure date and plan on enjoying each and every day/minute. Packing, as usual, will be done a couple of days before we leave (Aruba is an easy trip to pack for!) and I will have my fingers crossed for our free Medallion upgrades to first class again.
