    Coupons, Discounts and/or Freebies

What do you use for discounts?
Where do you find these discounts?
(I am not talking about casino or resort comps)
I am talking about restaurant or excursion, tour, shopping, sports "deals"

In years past, I had used the visitaruba card, til i found out it was worthless to us and i could do better booking things like excursions online.
Also every now and again there is a coupon in one of the magazines or promotion bags for a glass of wine or something discounted.
What I have found is that either i do not like the wine offered, or i am not planning on dining at that restaurant.

What Paul and I have found that works best for us is the local newspaper adverstising early birds or dinner specials...with no coupons.
We also find that if we book excursions online, often there is a discount applied.

For Jolly Pirates we usually book online ahead of time. They offer a 12% discount if booked online in advance.
7 trips in and still finding things to love. #8 will be great in November!

We always...... look for the 'free wine with dinner' coupons. I don't care for wine so DW gets 2....! Last trip, used them at Sunset Grille, Chophouse at Manchebo and Ike's.... Found one for Buccaneer after we dined there. Generally found in the coupon bag at airport departures and newspaper.

We sign up for discounts on some of the restaurant websites (Texas de Brazil for instance). Also use the coupon books/papers that are given out in the bags as you get into the airport. Always look for "book online" specials for DePalm Island.

If I plan to dine at Cubas Cooking, I use the coupon for the free mojito which is available in the booklet they give you at the airport. I've been using that coupon since before they moved to the area they are located now. It's a good deal. The coupon is good for everybody at the table so if there are 4 people dinning, you will receive 4 free mojitos which are like $8 each. However, I do find the food prices there kind of on the high side for a moderate restaurant so yes do use the coupon if you dine there. By the way the mojitos are great and they use Havana Club Rum. One time when I finished my drink I kept pouring the tap water in the mojitos glass because it had a lot of mint leaves and made the water taste very refreshing.
