it is illegal to bring back to us, but I have not gotten caught yet. I usually take back about a dozen, but take off all of the labels that way they can't prove they are cubans
You can't bring them back, but trust me, my husband does all the time. The cigar store will take the wrappers off for you, put them in a box marked "Dominican" and give you a false receipt.
It is definitly illegal. I don't buy their cigars anyway I bring my own cheapo JR's. The prices are outrageous. They charge up to $25.00 for a cuban that they probably pay $2.00 for. I pay less for a cuban in NYC than you in Aruba!
We have never had any problems....once,even customs inspektor, seeing a box(I forgot to remove labels),tpld us-enjoy them, and i box is not a big deal. You do not bring 10,or more for commercial use, but for personal-they will let you go(if you got cought).
You can buy Cuban sigars unwrapped. Some retailers might have a cigarbox for Dutch cigars available. That way, customs cannot recognize them as being Cuban. Just ask the retailer.
