I never take my passport while out and about... you never know if you are going to lose it... will use cash or credit card with points.
Also I make copies of all the credit card I am using, passport and drivers license... leave that in a safe place in case of emergency.

Staying at the Divi Village Beach & Golf. Dinner was at a place called Barneys. The men picked it from the magazine because of the all-you-can-eat steak advertisement. LOL. It was good.

Today we decided to get the all-inclusive bands. Our kids are all under 12, so they were free. So it's $250 a day for our family. Since dinner alone was nearly $100 we thought it was worth it. The kids had big fun at the swim-up bar today ordering strawberry smoothies whenever they wanted. :-)
Today was just a "relax" day. We spent the day at the infinity pool and then went to the beach. Breakfast at Mulligans. Dinner was at the Pelican. Did a little shopping. Tomorrow we're going to look for a flea market and then tomorrow evening hubby and I are renewing our vows on the beach. :-)

We used cash for small purchases today and our credit card for anything more substantial. Didn't have any problems. Didn't even need a cab today, as the Divi has large golf cart shuttles that take us to all the other Divi resorts, the casino area, and a small grocery store near the resort.

The kids think all-inclusive is the best thing invented. I told the bartender at the pool bar that he would probably be seeing a lot of them. LOL

We went to the downtown area flea market yesterday and weren't that impressed. It seemed like all the vendors had basically the same merchandise. Is there are a better area to shop?

Are you talking about the huts by the water? They basically have the same stuff, except for the last one with the Balashi shirts. Across the street is the mall and then back behind that there are many little stores along Main Street. There is also a big flea market on the weekends.

Yes, I think that's where we were. We were on the street by the submarine place. There were vendors at both ends.

    check with your concierge.
ask about the small flea market events that come to the resorts.
often there are some wonderful handmade/hand crafted aruba items for sale.

i do know that the tamarijn, the casa del mar and the lacabana hosts these late afternoon and evening events, and are held once or twice weekly.
your concierge may have the information.

A mini flea market comes to Paradise Beach Villas twice a week. I believe they come on Mondays and Thursdays.

What is the current conversion rate on the street for USD to Florins. I see that online the exchange rate is 1.79

I am trying to figure out if we should convert our CDN to USD or convert our CDN to Florins.
We will not be staying at a resort so will be spending most of our money on fuel and groceries.

    Any advice is much appreciated.
