Has anyone had any trouble bringing anything onto the island from the US? Does customs give you any problems bringing in gifts? I am getting married in Aruba in 2 months and I am concerned about our favors and welcome bag goodies. I understand what I am able to take out of Aruba but can't find much information on customs coming in.
We have never even been stopped by customs, let alone asked questions and we bring in booze, smokes, etc. They usually just stand around and smile at you. Can't imagine they would stop you for such insiginficant things
We bring gifts for local friends all of the time and never have a problem. If possible, don't wrap the gifts just in case they stop you, but you shouldn't have a problem.
I bring all kinds of things every year...because I do a Mardi Gras...the only thing is I put everything in a separate piece ofluggage...so when and if they open it they see it...and don't russle through everything....have a great time...Congratulations..
Have never been stopped or asked anything by their Custom Agents in like 18 trips. Usually there are 2 uniform agents standing by the exit door to the taxie/bus area.
Now if on a plane from South America you may get stopped.
