Re: Customs Question

I think the only time you need a letter is if the parents are separated or divorced and you are leaving thecountry with a child. My husband and I have traveled to Aruba many times separate with one or both of our children and did not need any notes. We have also traveled on different flights with a child each and had no problem. Have a wonderful time. I have 4 weeks and counting to get there.

Re: Customs Question

I did for Mexico and we were asked for the letter. No problem going to Aruba though. Good luck. If it makes you feel better, get the letter and then no worries.

Re: Customs Question

when we got our kids passports a couple of years ago I had to write a short note that I was authorizing my wife to get the passports - funny thing, it didn't even need to be notorized.

No matter what anyone says, it is always much easier when travleing out of the US to get passports. It is so easy at airline check-in -- all passports together, don't need seperate photo ID.
