Customs Questions

I know this has probably been asked a million times before but....
When leaving aruba is it still possible to buy duty free alcohol and bring it back? Do you have an opportunity to place it in your check luggage. I know there is a restriction on carry-on. Thanks.

Re: Customs Questions

Yes you can still purchase duty free items and place them into your luggage before returning your luggage onto the carousel.

Re: Customs Questions

Yes you can still buy duty free, and yes you have a opportunity to put it in checked luggage. right before you put luggage on the conveyor belts before you go to the gates the have a line for people who have to pick up your duty free purchases and will be able to open a suit case up and put duty free stuff in a checked bag before you put on conveyor belt. hope this helps.

Re: Customs Questions

As of December you could buy liquor at the duty free shops but only if you had checked luggage and you had room to put the liquor into your checked bags. They ask you before completing the purchase. You could not put the liquor in your carry-on bags and pass through the last security check after the duty free shops.

Re: Customs Questions

you can buy it at the airport and then it needs to go into your check luggage. They will wrap it up for you in the duty free shop. 3 liters each.
