The title is fascinating and , knowing how Dan writes, it should be a neat book. Am getting it when it hits our stands.

    Andrea and all,

Thanks for mentioning Dark Currents. I've been traveling and just caught up with the message board.

Dark Currents will also be exclusive to Kindle and available on 26 June.

Happy reading and see you on the island soon.

I love the beach (who doesn't?), anywhere that I can snorkel, The Donkey Sanctuary (much to the dismay of my daughter), the lighthouse.

Hey Dan! When you say "exclusive to Kindle," does that mean we can only download to a Kindle? Can we purchase from Amazon and download to an iPad?

    SuperBunches,

Sorry, I meant exclusive to Amazon as far as electronic devices go. So if you have the Kindle application on your iPad, iPhone or PC, you can download it.

    No worries and thanks!

I'm intrigued by the book, and will certainly plan to read it. Dan - I'm curious...during the significant research and due diligence that I'm sure you did, what was the reception to the story line from the Arubans, given the real-life inferences that will naturally be drawn? I'm sure that many folks were thrilled from a PR perspective. On the flip side, did you run into a lot of push-back?

I'm sure its going to be a good read - look forward to it.

    NYG9423,

Since the book has not be released yet, there's no way to know what people will say. It is fiction and has similarities, but it is not necessarily the same story.

Also, one of the lead characters is an upstart Aruban reporter who moonlights with a major American news network while working for Diario. And there is San Nicolaas Police Chief Jules Calenda, who also appeared in An Island Away and Under A Blue Flag. These characters do a good job of showing the Aruban side of things.

Diario has an advance review copy. I'm anxious to hear what the editors think.

    Bon dia.

Dan's New Book - Dark Currents

I heard Dark Currents will be released in Aruba during July. Dan, can you tell us if you will be in Aruba for book signings when it is released. If yes, what dates and where?
