Depalm Island snorkeling

Can anyone tell me if the Depalm Island all day snorkeling is worth the trip. My wife and I were in ARUBA last year and snorkeled Baby Beach and Pos Chiquito. We have our own gear. The fish sound awesome but wondered what the trip is like. $65 per person... Not too Bad!Should we book it?

Re: Depalm Island snorkeling

Hello fellow Ohioan!

We did a 1/2 day at DePalm Island, mainly because I'm NOT a great swimmer and wanted to do SeaTrek which we both enjoyed immensely. (Note that a few more experienced snorklers we talked to did not necessary think SeaTrek was worth it -- for them.)

My wife did some snorkling while on DePalm and she enjoyed it. She got some pretty good underwater photos and even I got better photos than I could have anticipated just standing at the edge of the stairs to the water.

Heard SOME folks say they wished they had booked a full day instead of half; half-day was enough for us. Each to his or her own.

I think one highlight/offering of DePalm Island for some people is what they call Snuba. You might want to check that out.

The lunch buffet and drinks included were "passable" -- ok, but nothing to write home about.
