We're going to Aruba for our third trip next week,and so excited! I'm looking to replace an engagement ring,and wanted to know who has had luck w.reputable jewelers? Please don't say Bolchands...HORRIBLE experience w.what I bought from them last year. Thanks!

There are a few jewelers in Aruba that will give you a full year trade. You can trade up for another purchase of higher value.

The best one we found is right across the street from Boolchands.

Bijou Jewelers also called Ram jewelers.

Make absolutely sure you talk to Michael the manager. You'll love him, he is not pushy and very patience. Ive done business with him for over 15 yrs. now and its a great advantage to trade for full value if you want.
There are some exclusions, watches etc. but for diamonds I'd go see him. At least check it out for your own experience. Being able to trade shows a lot of confidence concerning his tradeable material. Good Luck.

I bought some lovely diamond earrings from Little Europe. There are two stores. One is across from the bus terminal, and the other is I believe, one street back behind the "pink" plaza. My mother just came back two weeks ago and bought a diamond necklace there.

I just got back last week--it was my 10th trip since 2000. I love Colombian Emeralds, but my friends and I went to Shivvas and had a wonderful experience there. I bought my mom a pair of princess cut diamond earrings for mother's day. My salesman's name was Mike. I was afraid he was going to be pushy and aggressive, but not at all. My friend was going to get a diamond replaced in her wedding ring, but they didn't have the right size. Also, gave my friend and I a "group" discount on our purchases.
