We just returned from the Tam on Saturday (7/7) and the WiFi was still not working. Didn't need it so I wouldn't be able to tell you when it will be up & running.

Sorry you had to return to reality but would love to hear about the Tam when you catch up at home.

Hi Lisa,

The Tamarijn was absolutely wonderful. We have a 19 month old & were able to use a crib from the Tam & yes it is an actual crib. I brough my own sheets from home (just because). You had asked about the WiFi before & no it was not working durning the time we were there. Was told that when checking in. I actually wore the bracelet for my little guy. Pretty sure it wouldn't fit around either his wrist or ankle.

The buffet was good. The Pizza bar was excellent. They would actually make us a Grilled Cheese sandwich for the baby. Had the mini fridge in the room. Which came in VERY handy because the "little" man gets Milk in a sippy cup before bed & when he wakes up. Used the safe. Was charged $2 a day. Not bad at all.

We actually DID NOT get to eat in any of the restaurants at the Tam but did make it over to the Red Parrot. Was awesome as always. They had the fireworks going off that night & it was like having your own private show. Our table was right at the end of the patio outside. Closest to the Tam. Went out to El Gaucho's one night. Wonderful food as always. My husband and 16yr old went to the BBQ Bash @ The Black Hog Saloon. Hubby didn't win the drinking contest this year.

The activity calendar was a little messed up, but no big deal. They had different times at the counter then on the sheets that are handed to you. No problems with rowdy kids or parents. We stayed in the 1700 block. The security was wonderful. We had our slider door unlocked one night, it was after 8pm and they were doing checks. The knocked on the slider & opened it a little just to let us know that YES it was unlocked incase we thought we had locked it up for the night. Nice to know that they are just as secure at the Tam like they were at the Divi when we stayed there.

My hubby & son also went out Deep Sea Fishing. Would never use Lady Gigi again. Horrible experience. They also went out on the Master Blaster. Had an awesome time on that. Learned things about the island that we never knew. Hubby's head got sunburnt due to not being able to keep his hat on. Also rented a Jeep for the day & went to the other side of the island. I still can't get over the Natural Bridge. Oh, can't forget I won $110 at the Alahambro Casino playing quarter slots. YEAH !!!!

All in All, our vacation was great less one incident (fishing). Can't wait to go back again soon. If anyone would like to know more, please feel free to contact me.

Michelle

Thanks for the report. Sounds like you had a great time. Some of the things you mentioned I pictured in my mind and for a few minutes I was in Aruba! 30 more days and I'll be pool side at the Divi Links.

I too can't get over the Natural Bridge.

Thanks Chelle for all of the details.

I knew there was a reason why I would never walk out onto the Natural Bridge when it was still standing.
The collapse still leaves a hole in the hearts of some Arubans.
