Inlaws want to return to the Divi this Fall and need to stay in Vista 1, first floor, close to the water. Wondering if anyone has seen the rooms since the two storms? Have to be sure the storm surge hasn't closed off that area.

Just returned and the storm did not affect those rooms at all.

Did it do any damage to the Lanai Rooms which are closest to the shore line?

Nope. The storm was really not that severe. Water was not anywhere near any rooms. There was some light flooding on the entrance road into the resort that evaporated within a couple hours. In Laws will have a great time at a beautiful resort.

Thanks for the update! We always stay in Vista 2, second floor but they need ground level and were worried that their favorite rooms may have been damaged. Glad all is well!

Is there any difference between the Vista rooms versus the Lanai rooms other than the Lanai rooms facing the water?

Lanais are a special block of rooms, closest to the Tam and facing directly toward the beach. Vista 2 is at the other end of the resort, at a slight angle to the beach. The highest numbers are right on the beach. Step off the patio and you are just a few steps from the sand.
