Divi v Tam

I hope someone can help me with this, my husband & I stayed at the Divi 2 years ago & loved it, we had an oceanview room, ground floor, & could walk straight onto the beach. This year we are hoping to come to Aruba with our 14 yr old daughter & thought that the Tam might be better for her as there are def. more kids there. BUT I have heard that the beach is a bit rocky, (we only went to the Tam in the evenings, so didn't really see much of the beach.) I know all the rooms are ocean facing BUT is there a nice bit of beach where we can go in & out of the ocean without hitting any stones or rocks. I don't really want to have to go up to the Divi part of the beach everyday & it would kinda defeat choosing the Tam over the Divi. Can anyone help me, or will there be some kids at the Divi. I felt that it was mainly couples when we were there before, or very small kids. HELP PLS!

Re: Divi v Tam

The beach at the Tam has gotten alot wider and you should have no problem finding and area that doesn't have rocks and you will not regret going to the Tam for your daughters sake...alot more for her to do at the Tam and she should meet kids, depending on when you are going. Have fun and relax,
you will be in Aruba!!!

Re: Divi v Tam

We were there in January and the beach was better than we have seen it in the past eight years. The tides changed this year after the hurricane season and bought the beach back to the Tam. The beach was actually better than the beaches at the high rise section, also better than the Divi, The beach between the Tam and Divi was also beautiful. Enjoy.

Re: Divi v Tam

We were at the Tam from two weeks ago and the beach was absolutley wonderful. We stayed in the 2200 block and that section of the beach is virtually rock-free.

Re: Divi v Tam

I was at the Tam last week and there is plenty of places to enter the water without walking over rocks. Even if you have to step over stones the water is very clear of rocks.

Re: Divi v Tam

stay w/ the divi. the beach is so much nicer and has the best bar on the beach for a beautifull sunset. the tam has a rocky stretch that you have to walk a distance around to get to the beach. so if you don't want to deal w/ that stay at the divi, plus the resort just looks nicer.. we were there in feb. have a miami vice for me..

Re: Divi v Tam

Since Ivan last year, the rocks going out to the water are gone and the beach is the best that I have seen in years at the TAM. I think that the TAM is better for kids. We usally go in August and there are lots of kids at the TAM.m I think the Divi is more for couples.
