has anything been done at divi village and the divi golf and beach resort to address the problem of gnats ot mosquitos that are very bothersome at night. they seem to come out after sundown and are very annoying! you can't sit out on your balcony without getting bitten all over the place.

I've never had that problem there.

I just stayed there this past Chritmas and I don't know what you are referring to. The only place that my entire family got killed was at Madame Jenette. It always happens when there is lots of standing water around.

I have been there 7 times and have stayed at all different times of the year and have never saw a mosquito or gnat at the Divi. Seen plenty of flies though!

what time of the year do you go?
we go in july & august, i wonder if that might have something to do with it?
it doesn't stop me from going every year!

THE LAST 2 YEARS AT THE DIVI VILLAGE THEY HAVE GIVEN US MOSQUITO REPELLANT AND CITRONELLA CANDLES. I WONDER WHY?

Back from a visit there last week.
What with the more frequent rain showers
undeveloped areas still have standing water. So more no see-ems. Not really a resort specific issue. I bring a small bottle of
bug repellant.

My husband and I have been going to Aruba for 17 years and have always stayed at Dutch Village first and the last few years at Divi Village. Never had any issue with any bugs. Last year I did notice there were dragon flies but they were so high up they didn't bother anyone. Have noticed a fly or two. The wind usually keeps the flying bugs away. Don't have a clue why you had trouble. we are going next month for 2 weeks and can't wait!!!
