Call your insurance provider first - they'll direct you to an approved list of doctors and may arrange for direct payment so you don't have to. That's what happened for us.

We we went to Urgent Care which is across the street from Cafe 080 in Noord. Great clinic: fast, efficient, pleasant and English-speaking. I think it was $100 for the appointment and written prescription. We saw Dr. Louis.

When I needed a Dr. for my kids I went to the Pharmacy by the hospital and they recommended a Dr for us to use. I've heard great things about the Urgent Care Center act1966 mentioned.

A friend went to Urgent Care a few months ago. She was very happy with their service. Call first to make an appointment.

Your resort should have a house doctor. Ask the front desk for the name and phone number.

Urgent care is double the price of the other doctors on the island. The last time I went there I was charged $150 USD. Then when my cold didn't go away, I went to see Dr Habibe (on Palm Beach road) and they gave me an appointment on the same day for $75.

I didn't like the fact that that when I went to the Urgent care, they didn't give me the proper medications to heal my symptoms...it was like they were just in a rush to collect my money and get me out of there...and then when I went back to let them know that they didn't heal me, they wanted to charge me again for seeing me...so that is why I went to see Dr Habibe...anyways, that's just my experience...

dr habibe has been helping arubans and tourists for years!
he is competent and kind and reasonably priced.

we too have been patients and if the need arises will try him first before resoeting to the urgent care or the emergency room.

as karen lutzker pointed out that the larger resorts sometimes have house doctors on call.
dr. habibe is one of the house doctors.

Thanks so much everyone my lovely husband decided he didn't need to see a doctor! Men hey! However with 6 weeks left I've managed to lose my inhaler so I will be needing to get in touch with a doctor I imagine in order to get a prescription! Thanks everyone

If you have the box the inhaler came in with a prescription label affixed to it, the botica might replace it without a new prescription.
