    Dog transport

Hi- has anyone done a transport with New life for Paws?

We love animals and wanted to try and help out with a transport from Aruba to the states. Wanted to see if anyone had experience with them?

    Thanks in advance!

Go to the newlifeforpaws.org web site and apply to be a flight volunteer. I pick up and transport from Newark airport to their foster home for the night, I have had up to 3 pups…hey you might even run into me one day at EWR…

Thanks Charlie! I did sign up. Wanted to see how your experience with the process was? Curious how the dogs handle the several hours at the airport as well as the 5 hour flight?

We were approached by some nice people at the airport (AUA) but the show locked up abroad kept on popping up in my mind and we politely declined. The whole thing sounded fishy, especially the part about some stranger approaching me after we left the baggage pickup at MIA to retrieve the dog.

I did! My family transported 2 pups and another family on our flight took a 3rd pup. It was a great experience and made leaving Aruba so much easier on our emotions! New Life for Paws took care of EVERYTHING and made it very easy!Dog transport-aruba-pups.jpg Dog transport-dogs-plane.jpg

Thanks Jackie, we will be taking two on our return trip at the end of January. Now I just have to try and not want to adopt them!
I see you had the dogs out on the plane. Can I ask, what airline were you on? I was reading that on United, the dogs have to stay in the carrier.

We were on JetBlue. Honestly, I believe the were supposed to stay in carriers under the seat and they likely would have been fine like that, but we wanted to love on them a bit
