Delta has a bad record for handling crated animals. They have been subject to lawsuits over it & instead of raising their level of service, they have decided to stop carrying animals in cargo. It's sad, but if they are not going to ship animals responsibly, maybe it's for the best. I have heard rumor that Southwest is working on extending their animal friendly service to Aruba.

Update on Ruby - The vet plans to stop the shots, and just go to pills soon. They should be checking her levels in the next few days. She's in an area now with another dog where they can run and play. She has a lot more energy.

I hope Southwest starts transporting dogs from Aruba. The poor dogs need a break.

Thank you soooooo much for the offer! I'm don't think that Southwest allows crated dogs to be transported, and I'm not sure that Ruby will be ready to be released by then. If I find out that this will work out, I'll certainly let you know!

Ruby is ready to come home! My friends are looking for someone to bring her back. They live in Mass. and can pick her up either in Boston or at JFK. If there is any way that you can help us out, please let me know and I'll put you in contact with the right people. It is a very easy process. All you have to do is escort her through the airport in Aruba and then meet her at the claim area at the airport in the US. My friends will meet you there. Thanks so much!
