DON'T BE FOOLED

Lot's of folks think that just because it is a bit cloudy that the sun will have less of an effect on them and therefore spend additional time sun-bathing to try and get a tan. Fact is that the cloudy days can be the same or even worse on your skin.

The cloudy skies have a way of fooloing you into thinking that there isn't that much going on with your skin. WRONG! It is precisely during those times that the burns can be even worse.

When it is cloudy, use a heavy sun block and if you are out there baking away, be sure to turn over frequently and go in for a dip in the pool or ocean every half hour or so. Check your tan block to see if it needs to be re-applied after bathing. Many do wash off in water and the cooling effect of the small dip will put you more at risk of a bad burn.

GOING FOUR WHEELING OR ON A HORSE BACK RIDE?
Golden rule there is to either wear long sleeved shirts and a bandana of sorts to cover the area around the back of your neck or tons of sun block in those areas. The forearms will be exposed to direct sun for the entire time and the tendancy to bend over will place the back of your neck in direct sunlight as well.

Be carefull while having fun.

Re: DON'T BE FOOLED

Allow me to add that dont let the wind fool you either. When the wind is blowing across your skin it feels nice and comfortable, BUT if your in the sun, your gonna get very burned no matter. Wind will make an unaware vacationer feel cool but you'll get a big time burn without sunblock.

As advised, use plenty of high numbered sun block anytime you are going to be in the sun for any length of time.
Also dont forget you can get a great tan even if you sit under a chickie, so sun lotion is a definate must while outdoors. Pricy in the islands, bring it from home from Wal-Mart, etc.

Don't be fooled thinking that Charles cares about you. He is just advertising his business to get the money out of your pocket and into his.

Charles, ignore any negativities about anything concerned with you or your business.
These wonderful United States have tons and tons of young kids with younger minds yet, who roam through hundreds of message rooms writing anything they can to incite people.
Good for you for not even addressing the junk.
Also as I have mentioned, if these dork posters are not kids they come from infected roots, hence the saying:
Infected roots produce infected fruits!
"Take a bow, Joyce!

Re: DON'T BE FOOLED

Well Joyce,

if he cares or not about you is not the issue, he just gave a good advice that many other visitors do appreciate and take into consideration.

It is up to you if your interested or not in the service of his business.

I have a question for you though: if American Airlines or US AIR have given you this advice, would you have the same opinion?

would you also tell other americans the same thing? would you tell them not be be fooled by them because they dont care about you?

my advice to you is GROW UP! Think more positive, not everything is negative in this world you know and a good advice is not a negative thing to critisize like that.

If I have to follow your advice, then I would have to say, that no business cares about any of us, because they only want our money, nothing else.

Just take the advice if you feel like its good for you, if not, just ignore it and dont pay attention to any advertisement, because no body cares about you Joyce.

Geez!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: DON'T BE FOOLED

Joyce,
TSK, TSK, TSK.

I wonder what we will all aspire to be when we grow up?

For some reason, I feel some dissatisfied foks in here. Could it be the pre-holliday blues? Maybe just the blues? It never ceases to amaze me how such unhappy people get on a vacation oriented web-site. I thought that these were supposed to be happy places where there is nothing but aprehension for having fun. Where we meet to help each other in that quest. There surely is a site somwhere that is called

goodplacetobitchandmoan.com

Perhaps we should consider that when our window panes are tainted blue, our view is a blue one. The question then is - can window panes be painted in colors that are not trusting? Perhaps colors that are frustrated? I will leave that for the window pane guys to work out. Me?- I'm just simple and know little about such window panes or why they are painted those colors. Surely this is the advantage of being color-blind.

I also notice that there is a sense of mistrust. Well folks let's clear that up a little and let's get into why I write.

I write because I like it. I like sharing what I see and feel about this island. I write because I have received so much mail on how some of my little postings have uplifted someone or helped in the planning of a vacation. Not so much what restaurant or what activity, but what to see with your senses. I write because I like it.

Let's talk about how I sign off.
I do that because I am proud of my company. I like what we have done and the service we have given. The signature does not bring in business, infact it probably sends it away. It simply says, this is me and this is what I do. I pay for my advertising on the BB with cash and pay for that signature on an emotional level with the lack of confidence that it apparantly creates.

Regarding money transfers from one pocket to the other: I will not bore you with what our company has done for those that are less fortunate than most of us.

"He who pounds his chest boasting shows nothing but a bruised chest at the end of the day" No bruises here.

So Joyce: I won't put my company name there anymore, I will post less and I know that this will surely make you a better person.

Be well gal,

charles

Re: DON'T BE FOOLED

joyce, many business people develop friendships and most of them sincere. true it helps promote their business but without
business public relations you might as well kiss your chances of success goodbye. i have made many good business friends on the golf course and they remain my friends, both business and personal. bottom line, the person you work for is successful because she/he is well respected and liked in that particular industry. if you have never owned a business, you will never understand what it takes to be successful.
