    Re: Dont go anyplace else!

Great to hear Windy, I'm further south of brisbane in the cosmopolitan city of melbourne, I'm sure your cousins will direct you of what to see and do but if you need any advice feel free to ask me!

I think my problem will be i'll end up really liking Aruba but the problem with that is it's so far away!

Ok here is my 2 cents. We get free air miles so we can fly anywhere in the world. Been to 3 islands in Hawaii 10 different times. Its great but the jet lag and 5 hour time change kills me. We went to Cancun, Cayman Island 9 times, Puna Cana, Bahamas, Bonaire and next week I will be back to PARADICE or ARUBA for my 21st trip. WE LOVE ARUBA!!!!!! I now spend 15 plus weeks on Aruba each year. Please don't tell anyone about this great Island because I don't want it to get toooooo crowded. Kent Gerber

Oh, well, my opinion...for what it is worth...is that even though Hawaii...i.e., Maui...is nice; the flight is long; and, the bottom line is that when you come down to it; there is absolutely nothing like "Aruba" aka "One Happy Island," and it certainly lives up to it's name.

Exactly! There's a whole big world out there to explore and every place has its pros and cons but every place also will bring you new experiences.

Yes, we go to Aruba every year but we also make sure we get to at least one new place/adventure a year as well. Too much to see and experience in the world to limit yourself to one island.

We are Kauai fiends. We love that island so much, and have been five times. This is our first time to Aruba, so I am anxious to experience what everyone else has been enjoying. We can't wait until April!

i can't wait to go to aruba, our first time. i, too, like alot of the folks here have been all over the world, from tahiti to morrocco, europe, greek islands, etc.... i've also been to most of the caribbean islands and for some reason, i've never been to aruba. i am not a huge fan of islands because well, they are boring. the reason i'm excited about aruba is they seem to have everything. my husband loves the sun, relaxing and the casinos. i like relaxing (though i do that everyday, lol), shopping and the casinos. i'm not a big sun fan, i'll go but i cover up like crazy. so i am thinking this is a perfect harmony for us.

thanks to this forum, i am armed with places to go, restaurants, shopping, casinos, car rental, cellphone rentals and tours. we leave in 46 days and i am counting them down.

Good that you're renting a car if you're not a spend-all-day-at-the-beach person! Once you leave the downtown and hotel areas, there are adventures out there to discover!!!!

    Missing it . . .

Wow, it's great to see the thread I started! So many people love the place and with good reason. Which brings me to my dilema. I was unable to book two weeks back to back before May, and I don't think there is any way I'll make it that long without going nuts. Anyone have several days dangling that they can't use - maybe Jan-February-ish? I guess it sounds a little nutty, but if I don't get my Aruba "fix" a few times a year, I get serious Island Fever. Who can help me??? Please.
