Re: Dress Code

This question is asked many times throughtout the yr.

The answer lies in what you like and feel comfortable doing in the drees dept.

More than not you will read where casual is all you need to dress for.
Nice shorts, tops, capri's, like that is usually recommended.
Dressy dress is an option, not a requirement.
Personally I enjoy wearing a sports jacket with a nice open shirt and long dress pants when we go to an exclusive dinning night out.
LeDome, Chez Mathilda, and a few others.
Most times nice casual clothing is perfect and accepted anywhere except private parties that require jackets.

My wife enjoys dressing up every once in a while in Aruba. We made some very nice jewelry purchases over the yrs. and thats the time she can enjoy them.

Casual is fine if thats the way you want to go. We go that way most times, but not all the time.
I've seen people the Tuscany in the Marriott, very nice exclusive restaurant, with not only sneakers on, but dirty ones at that.
Meaning to me that they actually had to pack those sneakers and bring them to Aruba????
Many different strokes for many different folks!
Hope this helps a little, enjoy!

Re: Dress Code

Casual worked for us everywhere we went. We usually wore slacks/sun dresses in the evenings....not shorts.

Re: Dress Code

Casual is the way to go in Aruba. Even for the finest restaurants, business casual is perfectly acceptable. We encountered one place that had a sign saying no shorts for men and my husband was the only man dining who had on long pants. Pack light and dress light, it is HOT HOT HOT in Aruba!

Re: Dress Code

We call it nice casual. Docker shorts and a collared polo for the guys and pant/short sets plus a sundress if you wear them for the girls. No need to dress up unless you want to. For LeDome inside dining and Chez Mathilde long pants are required for the guy. Enjoy yourself!

Re: Dress Code

I completely agree with Marianne. Nice docker shorts for guys are fine almost everywhere if they don't want to wear pants. And nice pants, skirt, or sun dress is fine for women. I wouldn't stress out or worry about it at all. Have fun!!

Re: Dress Code

What about the casinos? I read that a sports jacket is required in some casinos?
