    Duty free leaving Aruba

Linda wants to know if it is a hassle to buy perfume at the duty free in departure. How do you get your merchandise through security? Is it any cheaper or more expensive? Any details would help.

No problem with security within limits (don't know current limits) .... think it's cheaper than the states.... but might do better on price downtown.

    agree with CP
linda may do better at "maggys" for perfume.

duty free at the airport...i bought some "clinique" mascara and the price was about 20% less than here at retail stores.
no issues no additional fees, easy transaction.
i think that i mentioned it on my us customs declaration card.

I have purchased my perfume, Channel Paris (very nice) at the duty free upstairs near the departing gates. This way do not have to do anything special to pick it up, just purchase and put into my carry-on. I do believe the prices are better than home but may check Maggy's this year.

Yes, this is another reason I like to purchase upstairs, I can pack it safely and not worry about it breaking.
