    Easter in Aruba?

We will be in Aruba over Easter weekend. Does anyone know if grocery stores and restaurants will be open normal hours. Also any knowledge of Church services/Masses? Extending stay so we are not flying back until 4/1. Any info?

most restaurants will operate on their normal schedules (note though that some are normally closed on sundays)

Good Friday is a Holiday and lots closed.

Holy Saturday is a Holiday and lots closed but supermakets may be open half a day.

Easter Monday is a Holiday and lots closed.

I can find out about the supermarket times and Mass time at St Anne's, but there may also be a mass at Casa Del Mar and/or Playa Linda. Will post as soon as i find out.

One year we got to St Anne's for Easter Mass 30+ minutes before beginning and it was standing room only in the vestibule. (and it was HOT O M G )

Will try to get you a Mass schedule for St Anne's.

I'm curious as well. We land around 3:40pm on Holy Saturday (pending no delays). Starting to panic that we may not be able to get to the supermarket until Monday morning (if open half day) or Tuesday!!!

Thanks Andrea. We have gone to 11am at St Annes before. Would be nice to know about Casa Del Mar and Playa Linda. We arrive 3/16 so we will ask around. Thanks again.

We were there on easter about 10 years ago. We were driving back from baby beach one afternoon and decided to do a little exploring. We drove into a housing addition just above Rodgers beach and one house had a large(5ft)aloe vera plant in the front yard. It had a couple dozen easter eggs hanging from it and there were stuffed bunnies in the yard. It was amazing to see.

    Easter is Party Time

Been in Aruba a few times during Easter and from Friday till MOnday Eagle Beach if full of activities, live bands, volleyball, soccer. The Arubians camp out and party all weekend. The only bad part is the traffic at night by Eagle Beach...
Limited hours for Stores and closed on Easter at least a few years back that is how it was...lately go in September....wish i was there now

I am also interested in the Mass schedule for Casa Del Mar and Playa Linda. Last year we were able to grab a few things on Easter Sunday morning at a small store by the Renaissance. Enough supplies (read booze) to get us threw until Monday. The store did close at noon.

Campamento! we love easter in Aruba. Been spending the last 5-6 years there for easter with the kid's school schedule. The holiday is deeply revered on the island and the camping and festivities embody a joyful island spirit.
