Anyone know if the stores, clubs, restaurants are open easter? I know that religion is important to most Arubans.

There will be some things open but it will be selective. Last year alot of restaurants were open on Saturday but closed Sunday and Easter Monday. You'll have to get the schedule when you get here.

also too, there are many closures on Good Friday.

Yeah I kinda figured that. So Good friday, easter sunday and monday, some selective places will be open. Well. we can always just go and sit at the beach.
I'll be sure to get the schedules when we get there. I can just ask a the stores and restaurants right?

These are the 'national' holidays which mean most
businesses besides restaurants and some other
tourist businesses will be closed:

04/02/2010 Good Friday 04/05/2010 Easter Monday
Ling's has a website but nothing listed:

but it is still early so check it when you get closer.

lots if not most of the restaurants/bars wil be open over the Easter wknd.

the little convenience stores will be open too (the ones at the resorts) the big day to get to the stores would be saturday apr 3

I was hoping to stop at Lings on the way to the hotel from the airport on Easter Monday, but they said they'd be closed. I don't know about Friday or Sunday.

Yeah in Suriname it's exactly that way, friday and monday are national holidays. Saturday is just a regular day, stores are open.

I arrive on Easter Sunday (it just worked out that way.) I sure hope Ling's is open!
