Embarrassing moment in Aruba
We brought some friends with us to Rennaisance last year, they have 2 children like we do. We were walking from our rooms by the pool going towards the lobby and noticed a security gaurd(female) coming towards us. Of course we all stop and say hello and start talking....Our friends son comes out and says out loud, "Hey Dad, she's got a beard!" omg let me tell you, all our faces must have turned red! She did have some facial hair. We laughed the entire time while we were out at dinner. Embarrassing at the time but funny afterwards.

Everyone makes mistakes!! This has absolutely nothing to do with Aruba...but...here goes anyway:
After lunch today, Gail and I stopped outside the restaurant to admire a beautiful Wheaton Terrier puppy. She was being fed scraps by her owners, a mom and a lovely, long haired child, about 11 years old. I asked the name of the dog which was "Sadie" and then I asked the child what her name was. "Nicholas" she replied. "Nicholas" I repeated. "You are the first female I've ever met with the name of Nicholas!" Whereupon both Gail and the mother corrected me, pointing out to me that the child was a "he"!!! So...you see...grown ups put their foot in their mouth sometimes, too. |
