evening weather attire

Staying at the Bucuti for our honeymoon the first two weeks of November.
What is the temperture in the evening?
Will i need light sweaters? or are sun dresses 'warm' enough?

What is the dress code at most resturants?
Will we need to have more than beach clothing?

What are some fun places for Happy hours?

Fun places for good dancing?
We're thirty- so we're not looking to go to young clubs.

Any suggestions?
Can't wait to get there!!!

Re: evening weather attire

The temp in the evening is usually in the upper 70's to low 80's. A sweater is totally unnecessary. A sundress is just fine. Trust me, you won't get cold.

Most restaurant are casual, (not really beach clothing) although if you go to some of the better ones, you may want to wear a dress or skirt. Definitely no need for a man to wear or suit or tie or anything like that.

Have a great time!! I will be in Aruba the 2nd and 3rd week of November to get married and have a honeymoon!! Enjoy!

Re: evening weather attire

hi jennifer the evening temperature is a nice comfortable high 70's maybe a little warmer. I would advise you to bring a light sweater just in case because most restraunts are bone chilling. sun dresses are appropriate for outdoor eating places. The dress code is casual for men a short sleeve polo shirt and shorts would be fine. For women a sun dress or skirt. You must bring bathing suits and sun block you will not need towels because the hotel prvides them for you. So fun places are Smokey Joe's across from Playa Linda, Carlos and Charles in town and there are plent of other places just ask the hotel. There are also party boats and a drinking bus where you go on a have a good time you go to everybar and eat stuff. If you or your husband are into Harl;ey Davidson s and stuff like that there is the black hog restuaraunt that is fun for all ages. For dancing there are clubs and stuff and again it is for all ages. If you have children it is a fantastic place and even thought the unfortunate accident with the missing american teen you should not feel to any degree unsafe on this island. I have been going to this island for 16 years and i am 16 years old. THis place is amazing and it is the safest island in the caribbean and the people are the nicest. So please feel comfortable and enjoy your stay at the #1 Island in the Caribbean Aruba! Pasa un bon dia ( have a good day in papiamento the native language of Aruba).

Re: evening weather attire

The Bucuti is a wonderful place for honeymooners - I'm sure you will enjoy it.
The temperature in the evening is probably in the mid 70s or warmer - no need for sweater or jacket outside but you may need a light sweater or jacket for those airconditioned restaurants and casinos.
Most restaurants have casual dress - nice short set or sun dress is fine - only a few require long pants for men - most accept nice shorts.
Pack more bathing suits and cover-ups - you will be wearing these all day. Just bring a few things to wear in the evening and something to wear if you want to go downtown shopping. Even on the tours, you can wear shorts and your bathing suits.
Happy hour at the Bucuti is nice and also on Palm beach, the Kokoa bar is nice.
Dancing downtown at the Mambo Jambo or carlos and Charlie's. Enjoy!

Re: evening weather attire

Going in a few days for our 7th time, brought a sweater the first time and never used it. Some people (not me) think the casinos are sometime chilly, but maybe because I'm from upstate NY, I don't feel it. 90% of the time at night I'll wear shorts with a polo shirt, my wife will wear shorts and capri pants. The weather is great, the people are great, have a real good time.
