Exchange Companies?

Seems we will be buying a two-bedroom, week 28, at CDM next week, but we will have to bank this year, (if the paperwork is done on time to do this.) Can use RCI or II at CDM. Any preferences.

Thanks A! Takes time for the paperwork to go back and forth, so, if it can get done in time, we would love to have an extra week in the bank. Enjoy your re-read!

I would only use II. I am owners with both and right now I serched for the next 12 months trading into Aruba using a good week with RCI and not 1 match came up. I search II and you can get a room almost every month this year. I would NEVER hook up with RCI!!!

Hmmmmn? Great to know. Been hearing some negatives lately. If we can get things done in time, will probably join II.
Thanks

I have often used RCI to exchange to Aruba and I have never had any problems. I think it is because I exchange my room in Aruba for a room in Aruba at a different time of year. Apparently, if you exchange an Aruba room, you have very high trading power and can usually get into resorts that other people have a difficult time getting into. Another factor that influences your trading power is how soon you turn in your room, the sooner the better. Since I know I will not be using my room, I turn it over to RCI a year in advance.

We have only used II and Love it!!!!! We have never had a problem exhanging either of our Hyatt timeshares for another timeshare. As long as you buy a timeshare that is rated high on the Interval site, you should never have a problem. We also got a great price on our airfare to Aruba thru II on AA. It was about two-hundred dollars cheaper than on the AA site

Thanks! CDM is ranked high. Question is, can you bank a week, this close to the "use" week? We have week 28, early July and won't have the deed until the resort does all the paperwork. That might be too close to the date to bank it.
