Would that affect any brides getting married on the island? I've never been so I have no idea what the set up is.

So sad, looks like it was a terrible fire. My 2 good friends are there right now for 2 weeks at Renn. It sure has been an eventful first week while in Aruba for them this year, especially the private island. I wonder what caused the fire and what time it occurred. Pretty scary by looks of the pictures.

From reports, fire was about 3 hours ago, believe it or not there is no fire suppression systems out there, surrounded by water and Aruba does not have fire boats
so any fire other than on the main island would be a total loss. I hope no one was injured out there and they can always rebuild might just take time.
    Next Aruba trip in

An internal memo was sent to staff and to us
it asks that we do not share ant photos or video's of the fire.
    We shall respect that request.

members of our FB page have seen all that I can post.

i pray that all involved are safe, that those employed there are taken care of and that they rebuild quickly.

    We are heading there 12/26.

We will be there be next month. Our first visit. It's such a sad event but I'm glad there has been no word of any injuries. I'm sure there will be people out of work for a bit though.

The below photo was taken from the Port Aruba webcam showing the fire.

I am not an owner. This was posted to another group that I belong to. Total destruction of the restaurant. So incredibly sad.
