I had read somewhere that some resorts have fireworks on July 4th? Can anyone confirm if this is accurate and if so, can you please let me know where we can watch them at.

We stay at Costa Linda on Eagle Beach and they do have fireworks on the 4th of July.
Last year Manchebo Beach which is next to Costa Linda also had some.
They were awesome.

If you want Fireworks in Aruba that would be on New Years Eve! Never seen anything like them in my life. This whole little island is lit up for hours and hours!

We just got back from Aruba on 7/1 and there was no mention of fireworks. However, keep in mind the July 4th celebration is a salute to America's independence I doubt that it's a holiday that's given much, if any recognition in other countries.

Beside while I was there I noticed a few brush fires or signs of previous brush fires so considering the dryness (very little rain) I doubt that they would want to chance causing a major fire.

If any of the Arubian natives should read this can you tell me why there were so many areas of burnt brush. As we were driving back from the Flying Fishbone (Savaneta) last Tuesday evening we notice an area burning very briskly, question, what's causing the fires?
