First Time

Hi All,

I'm coming to Aruba for the first time tomorrow. Visiting on our 25th anniversary and staying at the Occidental. I would like to have a memorable vacation. I have read so much about what there is to do and it all sounds so wonderful. I'm only staying for 4 nights and would like to know what is the best way to experience the island. I am interested in snorkeling to the undersea wreck and maybe seeing some of the natural beauty of the island. I also read about some of the night life in Oranjestad. Can anyone guide me so I don't fall into some of the tourist type traps. Also would like to take a sunset cruise. Which one is the best?

http://www.jolly-pirates.com/ Jolly Pirates goes to the wreck of the Antilla. Because you are not going to be on the island very long I would take the shorter afternoon snorkel which would give you the morning to enjoy the beach.

I would do the same as well with an island tour. In 4 hours you can see the highlights of the island.
Aruba's Finest Land Tour with Kini Kini http://www.kinikini.com/kk/servlet/Tours is sufficient for a first time visitor without having to spend eight hours riding around. Again, this gives you half a day at your resort to enjoy it's amenities.

Instead of a sunset cruise, could I suggest a sunset dinner on the beach for your anniversary?

Enjoy!

Thanks Sunny!

With such a short time on the island, I really cannot stress enough the importance of saving plenty of time for relaxing on, imo, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

In addition, the romance of a sunset dinner on the beach. An option, which I do not believe is available with the Occidental's AIP.
