If this is the first time you are traveling internationally, make sure you read through some of the info at

    U.S. Customs and Immigrations

Upon departing Aruba you go through US Customs and Immigration in Aruba. When your flight arrives in the U.S. you will be deplaning just as you would from any domestic flight.

    http://www.airportaruba.com/images/Maps/Ground%20Floor%20MCA%20New.JPG

    Procedure:
    • Check in
    • Enter the main building and go through Aruban immigration
    • Go through Security/xray checkpoint
    • Duty free shopping & restaurants
    • Retrieve you luggage
    • Take your luggage and go through US Immigration
    • Take your luggage to US Customs
    • Place your luggage back onto the conveyor belt to be placed on the plane
    • Go through second security/xray checkpoint (see map link above)

When arriving in Aruba from the US, where do we go after we get off the plane?

You will step off the plane and go directly to Aruba Immigrations. You will be given a form on the airplane to have filled out PRIOR to getting into line (make sure you carry a pen with you and make sure it works ).

    Stops will be:

    • Aruba Immigrations
    • Baggage Claim
    • Aruba Customs

All are easy and painless as long as you have the right paperwork. Aruba Customs very randomly pull folks out of line.

I have always told the truth on what we were bringing in.

Also we will be flying Delta there and back. We just check our luggage in at our starting point and it will be put on the planes and be in Aruba when we get there, correct?
