bring what you feel comfortable with.
$2000 seems reasonable, probably more than enough

    create yourselves a daily budget.

do you folks drink? that can tack on some added expenses

    gamble?
How much money should I bring with me?
    check this above link

dinner cost could be as inexpensive as ....$20 pp all the way to $100pp
    appetizers...wine...entree...dessert....coffee.... tip

disclosure..........my husband and i allot ourselves about $75 per couple for dinners. a little more if we go to madame janettes. we eat at places like amadeus, cooks, madame janette, lindas, B55 and matthews.
we rarely order wine or dessert.

That is a very difficult number to pin down...

Dependent on a number of things such as off the top of my head...

    • How much alcohol, if any?
    • Funds for the casino?
    • Rental car, taxi fare, bus fare?
    • How much traveling around the island?
    • Excursions?

How much money should I bring with me?

    Advice on Spending Money

I'd say that is more than enough! Breakfast & Lunch was included in our hotel costs, and we spent about $700-$800 while we were there on dinner, gifts and excursions. The only activities we did were a private island tour & snorkeling.

Ok. So I read about that another girl went missing. My family is a bit concerned about me still wanting to go. Any suggestions?

I think she just went to the Island with the wrong guy....he has been arrested....and he isn't an Aruban...he is american from USA!

I think of it this way....we've all heard about Natalee Holloway and now this poor girl, and while it is terribly tragic (it's 2 cases)....think of the INSANE amount of people who are abducted, killed, raped etc... here in the USA. In my personal opinion you are safer in Aruba than the US.

Common sense says to never walk around late at night alone, always have someone with you, never go off with someone you don't know and let someone know where you are going and when you should be back. This goes for life in general I think.

Go and have amazing time! This is by far the safest most friendly Island we have been to. We have small children and invested in a time share here, so we feel confident about it!

Very very easy, just take the same precautions as you would at home.

Does delta have the departure tax included in their flights or do we have to pay for it at the airport?
