I treated myself to a trip to Aruba for my 50th in 2006. I was hooked the minute I stepped off the plane.

Spent a day in Aruba off a cruise ship in 2006. Went back a year later for a 10 day trip. Bought a house on that trip and well as they say the rest is history. So yes you could say we loved that first day

Hubby and I went for the first time in 1996 and fell in love with Aruba and the then Sonesta Suites. Leaving in 8 days for our 14th consecutive trip and now own 2 weeks at the Renaissance Ocean Suites. Our daughters are traveling with us again this year--they are Aruba addicts as well. I'd love to go for 3 weeks instead of 15 days some summer...we'll see.

Was introduced to Aruba a few years back by an ex GF but reaffirmed my love for the island on my last trip with my fiancÚ.

What I found to be ironic was during a short 4 day trip with the ex I got stuck in a hurricane and on my last trip that was almost 3 weeks not a single day of rain or clouds :-)

Just goes to show that the company is just as important as the destination

I love the beach (who doesn't?), anywhere that I can snorkel, The Donkey Sanctuary (much to the dismay of my daughter), the lighthouse.
We went to a Marriott Timeshare in Seaview, NJ for a long weekend several years ago. We sat through the sales pitch and decided to buy. We figured we would just use it as a trade for other destinations. After we got home, we had some buyers remorse, but only for the destination. We didn't want to vacation in Seaview (right outside of Atlantic City)...and what if we couldn't trade our week for something else? We went to the Marriott web site and saw that the Surf Club was under construction and ready for timeshare sales. We took a chance and bought that instead.

We got married the next year and even though we couldn't stay at the SC, we went to the Marrriott Stellaris. We had the most fabulous time. Most importantly, we fell in love with Aruba and have gone back (almost) every year since.

First trip in 1995. Bought our first week while there. Bought our second week two years later. Our third week four years after that. Long story short, we will be in Aruba for FIVE full weeks this year and trying to figure out how to make that SIX next year. Simply our favorite place on earth and we have been to 19 Carribean islands, 9 European countries and most of the US including Hawaii 5 times. Aruba is the BEST!

Aruba is additive! Been going since 1980's , bought time shares in 1907 and have been going back ever since. Two weeks is a must, three is weeks is the best!

It's weird, as we are not people to return to the same place all the time and yet Aruba calls our names every year! We all find things there we tremendously enjoy and it's our one time in the year that we truly spend relaxing as a family.

We went for our honeymoon 20 years ago and loved it but were never able to go back. This year we splurged to celebrate our 20th and brought our teen girls with us. Now we want to go back again next year! And they are hooked as well!
