    Smile First Trip to Aruba!

My boyfriend and I just booked our first trip to Aruba in May. We are staying at that Riu Palace. I am planning on going to DePalm Island and snuba diving, skydiving, and also going to baby beach. I also heard of a little shop called Bula Surf shop. I was wondering where that may be at?? and also should i book the tours before I go or wait until I get there? I have heard you get coupons when you arrive but would they be coupons for activities that we have planned? I also love the market in Cancun and was wondering if there is a market like that in Aruba to buy things you cant get anywhere but Aruba??

    Thank you!

Bula Surf Shop is in Royal Plaza downtown on the second floor. It's a nice shop with name brand stuff (Hurley, Billabong, etc.) and some shop T's. I got a real nice Nixon watch there a couple of years ago for my birthday at a much better price than in the US. There is a flea market on the weekends near the grocery stores. The ribs there are to die for.

welcome to the aruba.com community forum

glad that walt was able to answer the question about the Bula Surf shop.

coupons- when leaving the airport there will be people handing out bags with coupons. make you that you take a bag. (boyfriend too)

also too there are some coupons in the daily newspapers, grab the papers daily from the lobby area at the riu.

flea market like places are set up downtown, along the boulevard across from the royal plaza.
also too in the area downtown, just south of the Car dealership is a large flea market set up on the weekend (walt made note of this) and yes the ribs are awesome.

    be careful in scheduling activities.
lots of people "over schedule themselves" and run themselves ragged during a 1 week's stay. you may want to book online an activity or 2 and then book anything else once you get to aruba.

i encourage you to read the activity category lots!

    again, welcome to the forum
