I just read on "Aruba Today" that a new Bar- Restaurant opened in San Nicolas called the "Foxy Lady".
Any one have any news about it. Sounds like a place for Daniel / SanNic44 to check out.
Not "our" SanNic44 -- LOL!
Exciting news for Andrea J...

I can neither confirm nor deny.... actually, Prime Minister Nel was there at the ribbon cutting ceremony. Nel is everywhere these days.
Anyway, have not been in. However, back in the day, this place was known as the Tropicana and was operated by a guy named Mikey. One day, my pal Rob and I were in Aruba and he caught a bunch of fish. We rolled into the Tropicana, fried the fish, made a big batch of stir-fry veggies, and some potatoes and served everyone in the bar until the food ran out. What fun! Until the Jack Daniel's and the Budwieser ran out in the same hour. Then the place was almost busted up by all of us. But, we just headed out for more. At the time the bartender's name was Jules Calenda and that's where the Police Chief's character name came from in An Island Away.
Alas, Mikey died and the Tropicana closed for some years. The building is owned by Gilbert Senchi's family.
I'll check this joint out sooner or later and report in.
Aruba's Novelist in Residence (sometimes)
I understand the pic of the PM has a HUGE smile on his face and was posed with one of the "ladies"....
I am in Aruba now and we plan on visiting Charlie's so we will see if we can find this place and I will post a report on it.
BTW, the weather is incredible right now! Heading out to go for a walk down the beach.... Bon dia!
