Good Update to Big Problems at Surf Club

I just wanted to thank everyone for your help and suggestions and let you know that I have been in touch with Marriott about all of the problems we experienced during our 10 day stay at the Surf Club. Unfortunately the building had just opened and they were experiencing major growing pains. While we were there the many problems we had in our unit/units were not being relayed to proper management and things were not taken care of. Once home and contacting the right people at Marriott, I was assured those kind of problems either have been or will be taken care of. Also, Marriott was very fair in compensating us for our not so pleasant experience. Being a new owner,it is very important and comforting to know that Marriott really does care and wants to know when there are issues that are not resolved. Bottom line...Marriott does take care of their timeshare owners!

we just got back from a week at the surf club. Our room was perfect. The staff were all friendly and helpful with all info about the island. My only complaint was our room was construction side. They start their day at 7am sharp. No chance for sleeping in. I guess it just got us up and out faster. I would go back in a heartbeat!

I am so glad to hear of a positive outcome for you. I, too, finally got a reponse from Marriott and will not have to forfeit my vacation week.This experience taught me to be sure and reserve as early as possible if I want a particular week.
The facility is a lovely as one could expect.
My only hope is that when I arrive, there won't be any further mishaps with my reservation. Unfortunately, they are 0 for 4 in getting this right so far.
