Grace Angela Challenge to Restaurants and Businesses

Virtually everyone knows the sad and tragic story of Grace Angela, the 70 year-old taxi driver and grandmother, who was violently assaulted by a tourist. A "go fund me" account was started by her "friends-friend" John Grey, a member of this forum, who has visited with her and who will take every penny or florin collected directly to her. Here is the link:

This fund isn't just about tourists making this right; it is about everyone who has a heart and who benefits from the tourist industry: restaurants, shops, resorts, even fellow taxi drivers.

The fund recently reached its "half way" goal by getting to $5,000 this morning, the goal is $10,000. Please consider donating. Do it to advertise, do it anonymously, but "do it".....for Grace.

We are going to Aruba in June, December and January and will commit to patronizing, during one of these trips, and writing a review on this site of our visit, the first ten restaurants or businesses that contribute $100 or more to Grace Angela. Simply donate and post here.

Is there a good way to reach out to the restaurants, shops and etc...? I'm with Rob... I'll also go out of my way to patronize those restaurants.... and write an honest review of my experience on the forum.

The best way would be to get it into the local paper I am thinking...the business owners must look at those.

" I am sure that most people who frequent this forum and who visit Aruba could easily assist in reaching our goal of $10,000. It would seem that most are probably in a good financial bracket and a small donation, whether $5, $10, $50 or more wouldn't be missed. All those small amounts add up and I personally know what it will do for Grace
    Thank you"

i will be getting a medical update from the hospital this afternoon for those interested. She is not out of the woods yet,
