We found the water clearer. We were at Playa Linda last June and the beach/water did not come close to the water by LaCabana. First trip to Aruba we stood in the water about waist deep and we could see our feet clearly, and the little fish trying to peck at my nailpolish. Love Eagle Beach!

I am planning on attending the bb party on Monday the 15th. Our plane arrives at 2:26...that should be enough time to get to the resort, get settled, then head out to the beach bar! I'm sure you will find me at the beach bar a lot! lol

I'll definitely be at the bb party on Monday the 15th! I'll be there with my two girlfriends from NY (hubby doesn't arrive until the 18th so the first week is "girls week".)

Eagle/ Manchebo Beach has some waves and you can feel the wind here a little more than Palm Beach. Eagle is wide, long and very white. Because of it's width and length it will be less crowded than Palm Beach. There is less boat activity, so the water is clearer.

Palm Beach is also long and white, but narrower and a less wind because it is blocked by the resort's buildings. Because the beach is narrower, and the resorts are larger, the beach is more crowded.

Water all over the island is blue, warm and refreshing. Our personal preference for Palm Beach over Eagle Beach is activity. Here you are within walking distance of at least 5 casinos, some fantastic restaurants and basic fast food. On Palm Beach you will also find loads of watersports: waterskiing, parasail, banana boats, sailboats, kayaks etc. All of the hotels along Palm Beach, with the exception of the Marriotts, are connected by a beachside walk way.

No matter where you stay, for relaxation, blue waters and great beaches Aruba is a great choice.

Here is an excellent comparison as well:
