Heads Up Aruba Usts Enterprise

from Massachusetts Maritime Academy, docks in O'Staad today til Monday.

502 Maritime students and their professors and ship's staff and crew are making Aruba their last port of call today on their annual Semester At Sea. aka Sea Term.

The Enterprise left Bourne, Ma on Jan 12 with stops to take on bunker in Norfolk and then on thru the Panama Canal, Panama City, Costa Rica, ShellBack at equator, back thru the canal and now in Aruba!

Aruba, hopefully will be left unscathed from the large amount of "college kids" .
As a parent of one of them, I do hope they behave like ladies and gentlemen.

Welcome to Aruba MMA students and staff.

If you are a Massachusetts resident, stop by the main cruise dock area, show your passport and maybe you will be escorted on a ship's tour.

Godspeed Enterprise

Andrea,
What a cool think for your son to be doing. The stops sound fabulous, are they able to get off the ship and see the sites at all ? I hope its not all work and no play. He should send you some pics...cindy

after spending the full day yesterday at eagle beach, he was going to dinner with friends of ours at probably a place like pizza bob..

tonight, he and the ship's chaplain are heading to MJs for kevin's birthday dinner as a gift from paul and i

tomorrow he has "watch" in the engine room and will not get off duty til 11 pm, so i expect all meals will be onboard tomorrow

sunday, he and a couple of guys will drive to pam pam after a day of scuba.

the ship is in its ports of call for 4 days.
each cadet gets at least 2 days off
freshman and sophomores have a curfew of midnight
there are no juniors onboard (or very few) as they are doing co-ops.
the seniors (kevin) have all time off when in port with the exception of a 12 hour ship's watch or ship's maintenance assignment.

aruba is their last port of call and they arrive back at MMA in Bourne on the 24th.
