    Heavy Surf

Judging by this morning Bucutti cam, my guess is that the Tamarijn beaches are getting hit hard. Remnants of 'Sandy' impacting the island.

    yup sandy causing surf.
sandy, before she was named sat as a tropical something or other, not quite a depression, north of aruba......sat there for a week throwing in rain, sucking out wind and spawning a few waterspouts. sandy developed into a depression, then began the move a few days ago. by tomorrow there should be no sandy effects on aruba.

We had waves like that for one day back in April... pretty intense and amazing looking for Aruba. I got to watch one wave completely engulf a 6 ft. man, with at least 4-5 feet above him to spare, and this was by the watersports shack at the Tamarijn.

Yup, pretty intense, and yes indeed, I do miss that place.

Next April at earliest at this point, maybe not 'til June... oh boo.
