Red face Holiday Inn Beach Construction?

Hello-

Anyone stayed at the HI within the past month or so? I read a review on another forum that the beach is torn up due to some construction work being done.

Anyone have any ideas as to what's going on or how bad it is and how long it will be that way?

Leaving to go there on our 2nd trip in the beginning of June.

Thanks,
Sean

PS. I know this isn't the Hotel forum, but I figured someone might see it here first.

Over 100 views and no one has any information on this?

I just today read on another forum that the beach is torn up and they have equipment running back and forth moving sand from the water around...?

Haven't seen any pictures as of yet either...

Help...!

Hey,
I was at HI last week of March and there was a part of the beach that had been dug up near the pool for a few days, personally it didn't bug me one bit, I was also there in January and the same thing was happening at the Playa Linda, next door, with a small craft in the water nearby . I am going back next week I will let you know.

For me, last May they were still dismantling the old reef in front of the Surf Club when we were there. I am wondering how stable things are now and what, if anything has changed do to the reef removal.

Have Fun, Pete

When we were there in November the water was very cloudy, and alot of seaweed.Locals will tell you that it will take MOTHER NATURE ,about 5-10 years to get rid ofit.Locals have also said that if Marriott would pay to fix the problem it would only take months. The owners of the Suff Club should stop paying there maintenance fees ....Im an owner

Thanks all for the feedback.

How long has there been a seaweed issue? We were there last June and I don't recall a bad seaweed issue at the time.
