Only Labor Day, St. Patrick's Day and Carnival for us. I also count the first day of football season as a holiday but realize that's probably just me.

Our first visit to Aruba turned out to be President's Week. Being from the south, we had never heard of it. At home, we have President's Day, which consists of the kids getting one day off from school while I always had to sit through an all day inservice meeting. (I'm a retired educator) We also discovered that was Carnival week, and we went downtown for the grand parade, stood in the hot sun waiting for it to arrive for hours, and finally gave up and left. Apparently, it doesn't reach the downtown area until almost evening. We are usually there on Groundhog's Day, Valentine's Day, and our favorite, Super Bowl Sunday. I love sitting along the beach, enjoying the warm breeze, and watching the game on a big screen.

Hi!! The best experience, so far- New Year, and Christmas time...That is the Best...a lot of people, and you can feel that spirit...we usually spend about $300-400, on all kinds of " crackers"...you can buy them only once a year(2 day before the New year eve...and always have a BLAST...on Eagle Beach....Hope, this year, we`ll do the same...
