We were there one Easter week and were totally shocked to see all these asst. shacks, campers, shanty type buildings appear overnite on the beach. We found out later that that is how they vacation during the holiday. Now, we think its pretty cool. I vaguely remember that the whole island shut down for the weekend. Someone out there probably knows the days better than I.

Grocery stores and most stores in general will be closed on Good Friday, Easter Sunday, and Easter Monday. Very few restaurants will be closed and anything located in the tourist area or tourist-related will be open.

was there on Easter 1 year, they camp at the beach past the Marriott, not in front on any resorts. No real problem..
