Hotwire website

Has anyone ever used hotwire.com to book a resort in Aruba? I’ve never used it myself before but it looks like it has great deals, although I won’t know where I end up until after it’s booked I think. I’m going in October for 2 weeks, staying at LaCabana, but I’m coming down a day early and was thinking of staying one night in the Palm Beach area, I’ve never stayed there before.

Just wondering if it’s worth it or if I should just book with a resort…thinking the Radisson if I do it that way.

We have used them for cruises and they were okay.

For the Radisson I would call Players Choice

I have used them for car rentals and hotels that I know the city and am booking 3-1/2 star places. Saved a lot of money using them.

does hotwire disclose the "name" of the resort, or the name of the car rental prior to purchase?

Its says for prices so low they can't tell me but for about $136 it guarantees a 4 star hotel...."Our 4-star hotel suppliers include: InterContinental, Hyatt, Omni, and other prestigious hotel brands." But it also says I have to pay a $25 resort fee directly to the hotel on top of the $136.

If you go to http://www.betterbidding.com/ read through some of the threads, it seems that the Renaissance may also be included EVEN THOUGH you have specified Palm Beach.

The other thing that raised a red flag, and others cannot better on the specifics of hotwire's list of amenities for a specific resort, is that it stated the resort has a coin operated laundry. The last I knew the Radisson did not have washers and dryers. The Renaissance however does. "Laundry on-site, coin operated"
