Wow…completely misleading. I think I’ll stay with the traditional way of booking. Thanks everyone for your help!

    This became a challenge.

I went through three of their "partner" websites trying to match up the "customer satisfaction" ratings and could not find any which match up. So no help there.

If you wanted to "roll the dice" imo, maybe tried priceline instead. Others here have been able to get some fantastic pricing. I believe the Marriott Stellaris and Westin are both in their "mix" of hotels.

I know this topic is about Hotwire but I would like to mention Priceline has some great deals, wife and I got the Marriott Stellaris Resort for $85 per night for 5 nights at the end of April.

There's a great site to know what you are getting before making the purchase but I cannot post the link.

Also the 4 star Hotwire hotels recently have been either the Renaissance (which is near beach) and the other has been the Westin (beachfront)

Finally hit my 5th post so I think I can now post a link. For anyone that uses Hotwire and Priceline and wants to know what you are getting before paying for it there is a great site where people post their results and if you do your homework you can know what you are going to get on Hotwire or Priceline.

If it is just one extra day I would stay at Lacabana. In 2009 we stayed at Lacabana and then moved to the Divi, and we wish we would have just stayed at Lacabana because we prefer it there.

Good idea would probably be affordable, but if you have never stayed on Palm beach before, it is always nice to see how the other half lives.

We used to stay only on Palm beach and then got a taste of Druif beach and came to enjoy it. Dh would return to Palm beach in a heart beat. I think his luggage is already packed.

the better bidding site is terrific.thank u lisa
it gives guidance on "naming your own price"

we have used priceline in the past for added on or post timeshare.
most times we got renaissance marina
once or twice we got marriott stellaris

we did research on the betterbidding site

when we were actively using the name your own price, it did not give us an option of downtown or palm or eagle beach.
it gave number of stars or resort option.
    we always clicked resort option.
