Re: How bad is La Cabana?

I have been an owner at LaCabana since before it was completed in 1991. I have never been happier staying there. The staff and the natives are some of the nicest people in the world. Literally. Like all places there may an issue or two, but nothing to warrant a 'bad' reputation. Tell your travel advisor to check his/her facts. Go. You will have a WONDERFUL TIME!!

Re: How bad is La Cabana?

I stayed at the resort one night before moving into my timeshare last March. I think it was fine for the buck .A good happy hour and plenty of good restaurants in the area. And eagle beach is the best .

Re: How bad is La Cabana?

My husband and I timeshared thru Bluegreen at
the BRC last December (Christmas week) for our 35th wedding anniversary and we had a renewal of vows ceremony at the Divi. We were fine with the room(a studio) okay with the food, loved the bar and the drinks, loved the white sandy beach, and liked the tour promoter who hooked us up with a great fishing charter. We had a great time sightseeing with our taxi driver. We overlooked the broken elevator. In fact,
we are going back again. I guess relaxing and enjoying the island is all that counts.

Re: How bad is La Cabana?

we didnt stay there because the casino is closed and I didnt want to have drag stuff across the street with my kids. NO it isnt a major big highway but it is still having to cross a street. We went to Aruba for the 3rd time to sit on the beach! We decided on the Marriott and were in heaven the whole time! Right on the beach and beautiful. We had no waves except when the boats went by. My mom stayed at the Divi which is down that way and she said she wouldnt have let my kids swim in their water because they literally got knocked down a couple times! My kids floated on raft and just had a great time. my mom and I went the same week A friend of ours has a timeshare at LaCabana and he told us to go to the Marriott!! Glad we listened!

Re: How bad is La Cabana?

La cabana is comfortable. The pool areas are always clean and staff and security was always visible when I stayed there. The grocery store is pricey but convenient when you need that missing item or snack. The food is ok and the bar is great as well as the one on the beach itself.

Re: How bad is La Cabana?

Thank you all for your reports on La Cabana.
We'll be there 9-9 to 9-17. I can't wait, will not be spending much time in the room.
53 days and counting.

Re: How bad is La Cabana?

Lacabana is the best on the island. It is clean and extremely friendly. After staying there 4 years in a row, we finally bought 3 unit timeshare and bring our kids and grand-kids every year now. We are on the first floor by the pizza, pool, bar and short walk to the beach. We just bought a second timeshare there, so hubby and I can stay a second week after the kids leave. Perfect. It's also away from the congestion of the high rises, but close enough to walk to. Highly recommend it. Have a wonderful relaxing and fun time.
