We were on the island once departing on July 4 and it was busy. School is out for the summer and being a U.S. holiday...well, need I say more?
![]() Even August was busy with families.

We are there during this timeframe every year. It is not as crowded as other times of the year. We never have a problem dinning out and reservations are really not needed. We actually leave on 7/3 this year. But it is a great time to go!

>>> "how crowded is aruba"
---- End of May and first half of June are very slow times. End of June starts time with more children. But most of the cruise ships have stopped calling(headed north to Alaska, Europe, Canada, .....) so downtown/tours will not be crowded. Will just have more children around the pool area. Teens usually like the beach area. |

We will also be arriving on July 5 for a week and we definitely expect it to be busy on the island. We usually go sometime in July and it is always pretty crowded, although not at peak winter season levels. You will definitely have to make dinner reservations at any decent restaurant or expect to wait for a table.
We were at the Marriott Surf Club last year in early September and although the US schools were back in session, there were tons of families from Venezuela where schools start later. The beach and pools were crowded but there is always lots of space for everyone-not like a NJ beach on July 4 . Just kick off your sandals, get a nice cold drink of your choice, and have a great week!

Wedding
We'll be there 6/23-7/2. Our son is getting married on the beach at the Amsterdam on the 26th. Only 23 more days.
