[QUOTE=DiviDiviFan;248484]We usually travel to Divi AI on turkey day which seems to be a good day as most people are already where they need to be. I usually start thinking about our next trip while sitting on the plane going home I usually book our room and air together by March, April the latest. However, this year I did something new I found a good deal (thanks to this forum) on Divi's site and booked by room alone in Feb. I then booked my air thru USAir in March. I did save a little money doing this and now I see that you can book both the room and airfare thru Divi's website. I may have to look into this next year. I remember seeing a one day sale for 50% off rooms thru Divi (once again thanks to this forum) however, I saw it too late so will have to keep an eye open for that early next year so I don't miss out. It is just a nice feeling once you book your next trip to Aruba regardless how far away it is at the time it just makes you do the happy dance[/QUOTE

If you sign up at the divi for their emails you will know when they have the 50% off sale.. They had a cyber one then valentines they had another and then one more. I stay at the Tamarijn and was lucky enough to get the sale.. I like to book three months out, but I don't have a timeshare either. Usually cheapcaribbean.com has great deals but not this year. They are easy to deal with and you can book both air and hotel together for a discounted price.. Definitely have to check around.
Next Trip September sometime or the other..

My planning feels like it's constant. I had next July's restaurant list pretty well thought out before we left this year! Packing..... I start to think about it 4-6 weeks before the event and 'stuff' seems to gravitate to the packing area by the time I pack a day or two before the trip!

I have yet to reserve palapas months ahead of time!

We booked in March for our Sept trip, but that decision was also helped along by our tax return

I have signed up for Divi's email lists more than once still do not get them, not sure why. I did get the Valentine's deal and even after that price went down so I got the one time price change and saved a bit more. I do remember Pegmesiter's note of the Cyber Monday 50% sale, that is the one I saw too late but will be looking out for next year. Prior to that I was using Cheap Carribean as well. Either way, always planning and always looking for the best deals.

We usually start looking for our tickets, as soon, as we are back(mid of January)....and, as soon as I see acceptable FARE price( $700-800), I buy our tickets....and, if anything come along later on for less( so be it)....unless it is way less, than we paid, I keep it, or simply get a new pricing, and loose on $$ on exchange...But- at least I know, that we have our trip...

For our late April/early May trip I usually start watching airfares right after Christmas and usually end up booking our trip sometime in January. For our Sept. trip, I usually start watching airfares in May and end up booking in May or June. For our market and for the months we go, we usually find the best airfares ($450-$500) about 3-4 months prior to our trips. It's been the same almost every year for many years now. As far as packing, I always do that the day before we leave but start laying things aside in the spare bedroom about a week in advance. Aruba is an easy trip to pack for.

I go end of January/beginning of February. I start shopping airfares as soon as JetBlue's calendar opens up for my timeshare dates. This time I bought my air on June 16th. Then around August or September I shop online clearance sales for swimwear. I start packing and make online dinner reservations around January 1. I make a list and check things off -- that way I still have time in case I'm missing anything -- and I have time in case some restaurant doesn't confirm my reservations (usually the same ones every year).

One can usually book flights 330 days in advance with most airlines. We make our timeshare rentals through Interval which usually means we are looking at 6 months out. This gets complicated since we are trying to line up 4 consecutive weeks.

We normally book in February for September. This year we couldn't travel in September and just had a week open up this week for mid November, so we snagged it. Thankfully, air was not insane.
