    Andrea and Jacki,

Is there a glitch in the system or why would it not work? Could maybe the webmaster look into it? I would really appreciate it as as it is not the first time that it wouldn't work when I try to post a picture using the URL feature. Thanks.

put the photo on your hard drive 1st
    then follow
    to add photo

click Post New Thread OR Click GO Advanced

then scroll to Additional Options and click Manage Attachments
    then to Add Files
    then to Select Files
then to Choose File (you will be choosing a photo that you have on your computer iPad)
    Click Open
    Upload File

    then submit

feel free to practice and if you mess up, i can delete for you

good luck it is easy once you get the practice in.

Thanks, Andrea. I know how to post a private picture from my computer.

But how can I post a photo from an article, or in this case, the photo in question, using the URL feature?

the short answer is you don't.

the webmaster has set a rule (see rules)
    large photos not allowed.
use the thumbnail posting from your computer.

the only option that i see is to copy the photo in the article to your hard drive.
then post it as thumbnail as a private picture from your computer.

    • Do not embedd big images into your post. Please use thumbanils and link them to the your big images if you want to provide a full size version.

Andrea, I would be more than glad to post the picture as a thumbnail and stick to the rules!

I click on the icon (third one on the right) "Insert Image".
Then the option appears: "From Computer" or "From URL"

When I use the "From URL" option, the error message appears and it would not let me post the picture as a thumbnail.

IMO, there is a glitch in the system and it would be very helpful if the webmaster would have a look at it. If I'm making a mistake in the process, I would be more than happy to learn what I'm doing wrong.

As you know, I like posting articles and many times, there are photos included in those articles which I would like to post as well. But, as mentioned before, the URL features does not work.

Could the webmaster please at least have a look at at the URL feature why it's not working?

I really would appreciate it. Thanks.

Why not just post the link?
it is easy least and if folks want to open link and read and see the photo they can.
I wrotento the webmaster of your concerns .

if indeed a posting large photo happens by members Jacki and I ask the member to thumbnail it and if not, we do it.
