FROM WHAT I HEAR, STILL NO REAL BALCONIES. TRY THE OCCIDENTAL ALL-INCLUSIVE. HAVE SENT CLIENTS THERE AND THEY ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT.

Re: Hows The Hyatt Looking?

Can't believe some of your comments. Yes the old lobby was nice but PEOPLE, times are changing and unfortunately the hotels need to upgrade and the old lobby was exactly that "old". Ok so the sofa's are uncomfortable but they do offer other seating. Keep an open mind, Aruba is not South Beach and I would never want it to be BUT changes are bound to happen and the Hyatt is doing a pretty good job compared to most of the hotels on the island.

Re: Hows The Hyatt Looking?

I'm so bummed with what I have read regarding changes to the hyatt lobby and bar. We are returning to the aruba hyatt in mid/late march and thought i would peruse the website and reflect.

One of the main reasons we return to the hyatt is the relaxing, comfortable ambiance of the lobby. The virtual tour pics from the hyatt website make the lobby appear cold and sterile. I hope when we return mid March my favorite late afternoon reading spot and our children's after dinner/evening romp spot remains one of our favorite aspects of the hotel.

We have never entertained an alternate accomodation in the seven years we have made aruba our spring destination. In our household the hyatt and aruba are synonymous. As a creature of comfort and habit I pine all year for two weeks of the simple lifestyle and routines I have developed during our family visits to the hyatt aruba.

I shall attempt to remain optimistic, hopeful and mildly curious. Perhaps new surroundings may provide new routines.
